On the evening of August 22, 2018, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace on a street corner in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood, leaving two men fatally wounded. One of these men was Jose Vega, a 38-year-old Hispanic male. The incident occurred at approximately 7:54 p.m. near a corner market at H and Thayer Streets.
