In the late hours of a Sunday evening in York, Pennsylvania, the life of 17-year-old Ruban Dejesus was tragically cut short. On October 21, 2018, the Hispanic teenager became the victim of a fatal shooting that transpired on Linden Avenue. According to police reports, Dejesus and Butts had arranged to meet 34-year-old Marquise Stanley under
the pretense of a marijuana deal. Their actual intention, however, was to rob Stanley. During the attempted robbery, Stanley, who was also from York, produced a firearm and shot Dejesus.
