Darius Savaughn Freeman, a 26-year-old male, was tragically shot and killed on July 29, 2019, in Pittsburgh's Sheraden neighborhood. Two individuals, Tyrell Rankin and Jayla Jeffreies, were later implicated in the crime. Rankin pleaded guilty to murder charges and was sentenced to 12 to 30 years in prison. Jeffreies, who attempted to rob Freeman, received an 18-month prison sentence.
