In the early morning hours of Friday, October 23, 2020, the life of 20-year-old DeOndre Lamont Stewart was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in Penn Hills, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Stewart, a graduate of Allderdice High School and a business student at the Community College of Allegheny County, was leaving a Halloween party on Curtis Street with two other people shortly after midnight when the shooting occurred.

He had been a mentee and later a mentor with the Moxie Organization, a program dedicated to guiding young boys into manhood. He also worked at ACH Clear Pathways, where he was beloved by the children and staff. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing basketball, football, and video games with his extensive and loving family.
