On November 18, 2012, Demaun Kenney, a 21-year-old aspiring rapper, was fatally shot in the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kenney, who went by the stage name "Tefflon," was found on the kitchen floor of a home in the 2200 block of East Hills Drive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police arrived at the scene after security officers in the area reported gunfire.
