On the afternoon of December 17, 2020, a shooting in Reading, Pennsylvania, claimed the life of 28-year-old Dominique D. Lane Sr. Lane, a Black male, was driving his car in the 500 block of North 12th Street with his mother as a passenger when he was struck by gunfire. Despite his fatal injuries, he was able to drive a short distance before the vehicle crashed at the intersection of 12th and Buttonwood streets. His mother was not injured in the incident.
