On the evening of March 13, 2024, a dispute in the 900 block of Franklin Street in Reading, Pennsylvania, escalated to a fatal conclusion. Antonio Carrero, a 21-year-old man, was shot and killed following what authorities have described as an altercation. First responders were called to the scene at approximately 10:15 p.m., where they found Carrero deceased.
