Jamal Darnell Pamplin, a 32-year-old man from Monroeville, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Penn Hills, Pittsburgh, PA, on January 16, 2021. The incident occurred around 11:55 p.m. in the parking lot of Monroe Muffler across from Numbers Lounge on Frankstown Road. Pamplin was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit launched an investigation into the
murder. Despite the presence of several cars in the parking lot at the time of the shooting, no suspects were immediately identified. Authorities urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the County Police Tip Line.
In a separate incident, Jamal Darnell Pamplin was previously involved in a legal case in 2017, where he was acquitted of homicide and robbery charges related to a robbery-turned-homicide in Pitcairn. He was convicted of lesser charges, including simple assault and hindering apprehension.
The investigation into Jamal Pamplin's death remains ongoing, with law enforcement continuing to seek information from the public to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for his murder.
