On a tragic evening in Philadelphia, on September 18, 2021, a 30-year-old Black male named James Wilkerson lost his life in a burst of gunfire. The incident unfolded on the 2600 block of North 12th Street, where Wilkerson was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead that night.
