In the early hours of a Wednesday morning, the life of Marshall Wall, a 55-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short on a Philadelphia street. On September 22, 2021, at approximately 1:14 a.m., gunfire erupted on the 1700 block of St. Paul Street. Responding Philadelphia Police officers discovered Wall at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The officers acted swiftly, placing the injured man in their patrol vehicle and rushing him to Temple University Hospital. Despite their efforts and the medical care he received, Marshall Wall succumbed to his injuries and died that morning. Wall was a resident of Morton Street in Philadelphia.
As of now, the death of Marshall Wall remains an unsolved murder. The Philadelphia Police Department's homicide detectives are actively investigating the case and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
