On a cold Saturday evening in Philadelphia, on December 4, 2021, the life of 21-year-old Angel Vazquez was tragically cut short. That night, at approximately 7:37 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to the 800 block of East Westmoreland Street, where they discovered Vazquez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The responding officers quickly took action, placing the young Hispanic male in their patrol vehicle and rushing him to Temple University Hospital in a desperate
attempt to save his life. Despite their efforts and the medical attention he received, Angel Vazquez succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Angel Vazquez was a resident of Westmoreland Street in Philadelphia. In the time that has passed since his violent death, his case has remained unsolved. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to investigate the homicide and has made public appeals for any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for this fatal shooting. To date, no suspects have been named, and no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Angel Vazquez.
