Ibn-Kareem Lawson, a 2-year-old boy from Philadelphia, PA, tragically died on November 9, 2017, after accidentally shooting himself in the head. The incident occurred in the Olney neighborhood of north Philadelphia. According to police reports, the gun involved had been reported stolen in the Cheltenham neighborhood in 2015. Investigators determined that Ibn-Kareem was in the basement when he pulled the trigger himself, leading to his death.
