Mathew Steffy-Ross, a 17-year-old male of African American ethnicity from Pittsburgh, PA, tragically lost his life on April 17, 2022. He was killed in a mass shooting at a house party held at a rented Airbnb property on Pittsburgh's North Side. The party, which had around 200 attendees, turned deadly when gunfire erupted, resulting in Steffy-Ross's death and that of another 17-year-old, Jaiden Za'mar Brown.
