In the late summer of 2024, the life of a 34-year-old man, Soner Yilmaz, was cut short in a violent encounter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On Saturday, August 10th, Yilmaz was found fatally shot in the city's Homewood neighborhood. The initial discovery of his body presented a mystery to law enforcement, as his identity was not immediately known.
