On the evening of November 8, 2020, a domestic dispute on Detroit's East side turned fatal, claiming the life of 16-year-old Rayne Nicole Dennis. The young Black female was inside a home in the 9100 block of Beaconsfield when she was struck by a bullet fired from outside. The incident began when Matthew James Reeves IV, 22, arrived at the residence to pick up the daughter he shared with Rayne's stepsister.
