On June 22, 2024, at approximately 7:48 p.m., 26-year-old Desmond William Lane was fatally shot in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The incident occurred on the 400 block of Ross Avenue, where first responders found Lane suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
