In the early evening of June 22, 2024, Desmond William Lane, a 26-year-old male, was fatally shot in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. The events that tragically cut his life short unfolded around 7:50 p.m. in the 430 block of Ross Avenue, where police were called to the scene of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Lane on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the back of his head, arms, legs, and torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
