Devlen Neiko Terrance Prosdocimo, a 24-year-old male of White Oak, Pennsylvania, tragically passed away on January 28, 2018. He was a loving father to Gianna A. Prosdocimo and the son of Angela Haun and Richard Prosdocimo. Devlen was also a brother to Niabella and Stephan Haun and a cherished grandson of Sandra G. Haun and Patty Prosdocimo. He was a graduate of All State Welding School.
The circumstances surrounding Devlen's death were connected to a pre-arranged marijuana deal that
turned into a robbery. On the evening of January 28, 2018, Devlen was found shot in the head and run over by a vehicle in the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Wilner Drive.
Following the incident, Pittsburgh police detained two juveniles for questioning. One of them, 17-year-old Melik Johnson from Northview Heights and East Liberty, was charged with criminal homicide, two counts of robbery, criminal conspiracy, and a firearm violation. During the investigation, it was revealed that Melik Johnson used Devlen's own gun against him. Another juvenile was detained but not charged.
The case brought significant attention to the dangers associated with illegal drug transactions and highlighted the tragic consequences that can arise from such encounters. The community mourned the loss of Devlen Prosdocimo, remembering him as a caring, funny, and loving individual who was deeply missed by his family and friends.
