In the early hours of May 26, 2023, a tragic incident unfolded at Chief's Cafe, a longstanding bar located on North Craig Street in Pittsburgh's North Oakland neighborhood. An argument between two men escalated into violence, resulting in a fatal shooting inside the establishment. Upon responding to reports of the altercation around 1:30 a.m., Pittsburgh police discovered 55-year-old Calvin F. Baldridge lying face down and unresponsive inside the bar. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
