In the early hours of a Monday morning, the course of many lives was irrevocably altered by an act of violence in a Philadelphia neighborhood. On September 26, 2022, at approximately 12:34 a.m., the life of 23-year-old Ryan D. Findley, a Black male, was cut tragically short. Residing on Adams Avenue, Findley was discovered on the 1600 block of Creston Street, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Philadelphia Police officers had responded to the scene, and upon their arrival, they found Findley in a grave state. Paramedics from the Philadelphia Fire Department were summoned, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the location of the shooting.
The investigation into the death of Ryan Findley spanned several years, eventually leading to the apprehension of those believed to be responsible. On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, a significant breakthrough occurred with the arrest of the first suspect in connection with the case. This was followed by a second arrest on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. One of the individuals taken into custody was identified as 25-year-old Tyvine Jones.
Authorities have described Jones as an alleged hitman and a member of a local gang. His arrest was the culmination of a lengthy manhunt, as he had reportedly been evading law enforcement since April 2024 by frequently changing his location with the assistance of his group. Jones is accused of being involved in multiple homicides, with surveillance footage reportedly capturing his role in the shooting of Findley. Following their arrests, both suspects are awaiting trial for their alleged involvement in the death of Ryan D. Findley.
