Kelleye Lynnette Sluder Pratt, a 30-year-old woman from Terrell, Texas, was tragically killed on October 28, 2013. She was found dead alongside her partner, Jason Michael Wooden, 33, in their home. Both victims had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The couple's 3-year-old child was found unharmed in the home. The incident was part of a larger killing spree that shook the community of Terrell.

The suspect in the case, Charles Everett Brownlow Jr., a 36-year-old man, was arrested after a high-speed chase and subsequent manhunt. Brownlow was charged with multiple counts of capital murder, including the deaths of Kelleye Lynnette Sluder Pratt and Jason Michael Wooden. Brownlow's killing spree began earlier in the evening when he murdered his mother, Mary Brownlow, and his aunt, Belinda Walker. He then set his mother's house on fire before continuing his rampage.

Brownlow had a long history of criminal behavior, including drug possession, burglary, and assault. At the time of his arrest, he appeared to be under the influence of drugs. The motive behind the murders remains unclear, but authorities believe that Brownlow's drug use and criminal tendencies played a significant role in the tragic events.

The community of Terrell was left in shock and mourning following the murders. Vigils were held for the victims, and residents struggled to come to terms with the senseless violence that had taken place. The investigation into the murders was thorough, with police working tirelessly to piece together the events of that fateful night. Brownlow's arrest brought some measure of relief to the community, but the scars left by the tragedy would take much longer to heal.
