On April 10, 2024, at approximately 11:38 p.m., the Terrell Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting at 901 S. Catherine Street in Terrell, Texas. The caller, identified as 69-year-old Wendell Lancaster, claimed to have shot a woman who he alleged had stolen his wallet.
Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Breanna Mendosa suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite medical assistance provided by CareFlite, she succumbed to her injuries.
