On August 17, 2024, at approximately 2:41 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a shooting incident on the 2400 block of North Stanley Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Darren Lawrence, a 32-year-old resident of the same block, along with a second shooting victim inside a residence. The officers immediately transported Darren to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
