In the evening hours of a Wednesday in Philadelphia, the life of Olajide Jimmy Agoro Jr., a 26-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On November 23, 2022, at approximately 9:04 p.m., police responded to a call on the 2400 block of Morris Street. There, they found Agoro suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The responding officers quickly took action, placing him in their patrol vehicle and rushing him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in an effort to save his life.
Despite their efforts and the medical care he received, Olajide Jimmy Agoro Jr. succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
As of now, the case remains an unsolved murder, and the Philadelphia Police Department is actively seeking any information that could lead to the individuals responsible for this act of gun violence. There have been no reported arrests, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the shooting. The investigation into the death of Olajide Agoro is ongoing as his family and friends continue to mourn their loss.
