In the winter of 2014, the life of 42-year-old Walter Cook, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On a Tuesday, the 9th of December, violence shattered the evening on College Avenue SW. Cook was shot in an incident that would leave a lasting mark on the community and his family.
