On January 30, 2015, the city of Cleveland, Ohio, was shaken by the tragic loss of John Darnell Davis Jr., a 26-year-old African American man whose life was cut short by gun violence. Born on January 25, 1989, to parents Marsha Morris and John Davis Sr., John had recently celebrated his 26th birthday just days before his untimely passing.
