Tonda L. Fouch, a 42-year-old woman from Columbus, OH, tragically passed away on August 10, 2015. She was born on April 4, 1973, to Willy Kinney and Donna Le Ford. Tonda was known for her love of family, friends, cats, and shopping. She is survived by her children, Kristin Parker and Jonathan.
The circumstances surrounding Tonda's death were determined to be an apparent murder-suicide.
Tonda and her former partner, Tom Folk, had separated but Folk invited her to their shared residence in Whitehall, OH, to talk about rekindling their relationship. Folk's roommate, Kraig Blair, left the house to give them privacy, but upon returning, discovered both bodies in Folk's bedroom. Folk had shot Fouch before taking his own life. Blair called the police, and the incident was investigated as a murder-suicide.
There were no prior domestic violence complaints involving the couple, although family members reported that they had several fights that escalated. Folk had requested alone time with Fouch, and Blair was unaware that Folk had a gun or was capable of shooting anyone. The investigation concluded that Folk shot Fouch and then himself.
The tragic event left the community in shock, and the investigation was handled by Whitehall police. The case did not lead to any arrests or ongoing litigation, as it was determined to be a murder-suicide.
