On May 7, 2025, tragedy struck in Columbus, Ohio, as 18-year-old Au’jai Davenport, a young African American woman, lost her life in a fatal shooting on Mock Road. The Columbus Division of Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 2000 block of Mock Road, where they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
