On May 16, 2022, 33-year-old Brandon Joiner was fatally shot along State Route 104 near Haul Road in Columbus, OH. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, and Joiner was driving his vehicle when he was shot multiple times by Brad Madison, a longtime friend. Joiner had been on the phone with his girlfriend at the time, who heard him say "What's up?" before the gunshots rang out.
