Sayuri Casas Yerena, an 18-year-old Hispanic female, tragically lost her life on December 25, 2015, in Columbus, Ohio. She was found shot multiple times inside a vehicle along with her boyfriend, 21-year-old Victor F. Mendez-Paredes, at around 3:59 AM. The incident occurred in the area of 2231 Courtside Drive, where officers responded to reports of a robbery in progress and shots fired. Both victims were critically injured and pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
