Calvin Moore, a 44-year-old man from Youngstown, OH, was tragically shot and killed on July 6, 2016. In a separate incident, a Mahoning County grand jury
indicted Johnnie McCall, 31, in the shooting death of another Calvin Moore, aged 27, near the Vibe nightclub on December 12, 2021. This Calvin Moore was shot in the parking lot of the nightclub and later died in the hospital after spending several weeks in critical condition. McCall was charged with aggravated murder, two counts of murder, felonious assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. However, this case is unrelated to the death of Calvin Moore, aged 44, in 2016.
The investigation into Calvin Moore's death remains unsolved, and the Youngstown Police Department continues to seek information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrator. The community and Moore's family are still seeking justice for his untimely death.
