On December 7, 2016, in Toledo, Ohio, 15-year-old African American male Tommie Thomas was fatally shot at approximately 8:50 p.m. inside his residence in the 1000 block of Woodland Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Tommie with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:26 p.m.
