Laronnie Franklin, a 36-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on July 12, 2020, in Toledo, Ohio. Franklin was discovered in an alley behind a building on the 3300 block of Monroe Street around 10:15 a.m. Detectives determined that he had been shot at least once. The Toledo Police Department responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into his death.
The investigation revealed that Franklin's identity could not be immediately determined at the scene.
However, with the assistance of the Lucas County Coroner's Office, his identity was confirmed the following day. The Toledo Police Department continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding Franklin's death, urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
