On the evening of Thursday, March 15, 2012, tragedy struck on the west side of Detroit. Stephon Bonner, a 22-year-old African American male, was found on the side of a residence in the 19000 block of Gilchrist, near the intersection of 7 Mile Road and the Southfield Freeway. The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. Stephon had been fatally shot multiple times.
