On a summer morning in Detroit, Michigan, the life of a dedicated state trooper was tragically cut short. On July 7, 1991, 30-year-old Kermit Fitzpatrick, a Michigan State Trooper, was conducting a routine traffic stop on the Jeffries Freeway.
