Jawan McQueen, aged 47, was tragically shot and killed on October 16, 2012, on Detroit's east side. McQueen, a cab driver, was targeted by two assailants during an attempted robbery while parked at a Mobil gas station on the corner of Harper Avenue and Conner Street at around 4:20 a.m. The suspects approached McQueen as he was cleaning out his cab and subsequently opened fire.
