Thomas Battle, a 53-year-old man from Columbus, OH, tragically died on November 7, 2019, after being shot in Whitehall, OH. The incident occurred during a custody exchange with his son's mother, Crystal Lanier, who was later charged with his murder. Lanier was arrested at her residence on E. Mound Street in Whitehall and charged with two counts of murder and one count of tampering with evidence.
