Brandon Jamaal Wheat, a 31-year-old Black male from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost his life on September 29, 2021. He was found unresponsive in an alley in the 1800 block of Sullivant Avenue after a Shotspotter call alerted the police to gunshots around 11:51 p.m. Despite the efforts of patrol officers to render aid, Brandon succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
