Desmond Taylor, a 27-year-old security guard from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost his life on June 14, 2024, following a shooting incident outside the Avalon nightclub in downtown Columbus. The shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m. during an altercation involving multiple individuals. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the incident, while another victim, 36-year-old Ceilin Ricard Peaks Smith, succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter at a local hospital.
