Marquis T. Talley, a 27-year-old Black male from Columbus, OH, tragically died on August 9, 2020, after being shot the previous night. On August 8, 2020, at approximately 10:28 PM, Patrol Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of eight shots fired in the area of 2077 Joyce Avenue. They discovered a vehicle stopped in the area of Maynard Avenue, just west of Joyce Avenue, with one occupant suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
