On May 31, 2022, 35-year-old Demarco Dubose, an African American male from Columbus, OH, was fatally shot while driving on West Broad Street near the Interstate 270 interchange. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when another vehicle pulled up next to Dubose's car and fired shots before fleeing the scene.
