Michael Anton Eves, a 47-year-old man from Cincinnati, Ohio, tragically passed away on April 10, 2020. Born on October 31, 1972, in Hamilton, Ohio, Eves was a well-regarded member of his community. His death was part of a quadruple homicide that shocked the city.
The investigation revealed that Alto Miles, the accused murderer, shot and killed Eves along with three other victims—William Bowen III , Briggett Carter , and Tasia Mason —at two separate crime scenes on the same day.
The first crime scene was located on Reading Road near Glenwood Avenue, where Eves and Bowen were found shot to death around 4:10 a.m. The second crime scene was an apartment on Clinton Springs Avenue, where Carter and Mason were discovered shot dead later that day.
Miles was initially expected to plead guilty to the four counts of aggravated murder. However, during a court hearing in October 2023, he had an outburst and refused to accept the plea agreement. Despite signing the plea, Miles did not verbally agree to it in court, leading to the hearing being rescheduled. Due to Miles' diagnosis of Schizoaffective disorder, the death penalty was taken off the table.
