On July 30, 2020, 29-year-old Woody Cisterna was fatally shot while picking up personal belongings at a home on Kenmore Boulevard in Akron, Ohio. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing Cisterna lying on the ground before seeing the suspect, Charles Deel, speed away in his vehicle. The Northeast Ohio Fugitive Task Force arrested Deel several days later in Scio, Ohio, about 90 minutes south of Akron. Deel was found with the murder weapon in his possession.
