Vernon Appleton Jr., a 24-year-old African American male from Akron, OH, tragically passed away on November 12, 2014. He was shot multiple times following a dispute with another individual outside a home on Diagonal Road. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, and Vernon was pronounced dead at the scene. The Akron police launched an investigation into his death, but no suspect was immediately identified.
