Johnny L. Gaiter, a 40-year-old African American man from Akron, Ohio, tragically lost his life on July 8, 2022. He was killed during a celebration of life event for a loved one who had been murdered in 2021. The event turned into a nightmare when up to three gunmen opened fire on the crowd without warning.
