On October 26, 2020, 14-year-old Tayshaun Smith-Davis, a Black male from Toledo, OH, was found dead in an alley between Pinewood and Woodland avenues near Brown Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene, having suffered at least one gunshot wound to the neck. The Lucas County Coroner's office confirmed his cause of death as a gunshot wound to the neck. His death was ruled as the city's 47th homicide of 2020.
