Kenneth Veley, a 16-year-old male from Toledo, Ohio, tragically lost his life on June 11, 2018. His body was discovered around 9:00 a.m. in a driveway on East Central Avenue. Kenneth was pronounced dead at the scene by Toledo Fire & Rescue Department personnel. Earlier that morning, at around 12:22 a.m., police had received a call about three gunshots heard in the area of Elm and Central. Although officers were dispatched to the scene, they were unable to locate a body or victim at that time.
Investigators are working to determine if the shots fired earlier are connected to Kenneth's homicide.
The investigation into Kenneth's death revealed bullet holes in the side of a car near where his body was found, and shell casings were discovered at the scene. However, no suspects have been identified or taken into custody. Toledo Police detectives are continuing to gather evidence and have urged the community to come forward with any information that might help solve the case.
