On the evening of April 19, 2020, officers from the North County Precinct in St. Louis County, Missouri, responded to a ShotSpotter activation alerting them to gunfire. The electronic detection system directed police to the 10500 block of Castle Drive, located in the Castle Point neighborhood of North St. Louis County. Upon arriving at the scene around 6:40 p.m., law enforcement discovered a male victim lying in the front yard of a residence.
