Treasure JaWon Wiley, a 20-year-old African American male from Toledo, Ohio, tragically passed away on October 8, 2019. He was born on February 14, 1999, and was known for his vibrant personality and entrepreneurial spirit. Treasure graduated from Rogers High School in 2018 and had created his own clothing line, Sixer's, while still in high school.
He aspired to become a chef and own his own restaurant.
On the night of his death, Treasure was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 200 block of Kingswood Trail Drive in South Toledo. He was treated at the scene and transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred around 1:01 a.m., and by the afternoon, all evidence from the shooting had been cleared away.
Toledo police launched an investigation into Treasure's death, but as of now, no arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed in connection to the shooting. The investigation remains open, and police have asked anyone with information to come forward. Treasure's death was the 26th homicide in Toledo that year.
