On December 7, 2014, James Williams, a 69-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was found murdered inside a red GMC van on the 2200 block of South 62nd Street. Philadelphia Police responded to the scene at approximately 3:05 p.m., where they discovered James suffering from blunt force trauma to his head. Medical personnel arrived shortly after but pronounced him deceased by 3:10 p.m. The investigation indicated that James had been the victim of a violent assault, and his death was ruled a homicide.
