Javion Ivy, a 14-year-old African American boy, tragically lost his life on January 12, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. On that fateful day, Javion was shot twice in the chest while he was on the Near West Side, specifically in the 2200 block of West Adams Street. Witnesses reported hearing gunfire and later saw Javion lying in the street near his backpack.
